The target audiences for this course are new managers with line management responsibility.  However, anyone who wishes to develop their knowledge in managing individual performance, policy and procedures in an organizational environment can attend the training course. 

 The course deals with: 

  • Managers’ role in performance management, including standard setting, writing performance agreements and reviews.

  • HR Strategy, policies and procedures such as sick absence, discipline, recruitment, promotion.

  • Employee legislations such as equal opportunities, Health & Safety.

  • Bullying and harassment

  • Diversity


It is important that managers understand their role in delivering their company HR strategy and apply policies and procedures correctly in their staff management. 

 On this course, delegates will learn how to identify and eradicate discrimination in the workplace and produce an equitable working environment.  It is important that managers promote equal opportunities and diversity, and act to eradicate bullying and harassment.

There is no pre-course preparation and no prerequisite for this course.
